Testosterone is a female sex hormone, which is produced by the ovaries. It's been used in medicine for almost a century, but in the past few years it has been gaining in popularity. There are many different kinds of testosterone. In the US, testosterone is called synthetic testosterone, or the testosterone anabolic steroid. Many people also think of the synthetic testosterone as synthetic (not natural) testosterone, because the name is misleading. Synthetic testosterone is made by a chemical called testosterone propionate. Testosterone propionate is a natural product, which means it's an ingredient in plants like tea, herbs, or food. A few ingredients in this synthetic testosterone are: propionic acid, isopropyl alcohol, nonylphenol, and acesulfame potassium. This means that the testosterone in this product is not naturally present in the body. In fact, it's often a byproduct from another hormone called glucuronolactone (see the next paragraph). There are no FDA approved tests for this product (although it can be found at health food stores). However, the FDA recommends that people use it only if their doctor prescribes it. For more on this subject, see the following: Testosterone in Food: Testosterone in the Body Testosterone (testosterone propionate) has many benefits in your body. Some of the most important are related to the body's ability to make testosterone.
Testosterone's effects are linked to how much you need to use it.
